New Officers Elected

New Officers ElectedEast Tennessee pastor Dexter Brummitt was elected as the new moderator of the Tennessee State Association. Moderator Randy Riggs stepped down opening the path to Brummitt’s election. He has served as assistant moderator for the past six years. With Brummitt’s rise to the moderator’s position, the assistant moderator’s position was opened and delegates filled it with Corey Minter. Minter is the pastor of the New Hope Church in Joelton. Jeff Davis who had been serving as clerk relocated to North Carolina during the past year leaving the clerk’s job vacant. Jeff Caudill was called upon to accept the clerk’s position. Caudill has a wide range of experience including serving as a former clerk in Michigan, administrator at Welch College and executive pastor at Cofer’s Chapel in Nashville. All of these men will serve on the Tennessee Executive Committee by virtue of their office.
