Hardin Valley Church Celebrates 25 Years

Hardin Valley FWB Church celebrated its 25th anniversary during the weekend of October 31st and November 1st. As a church plant with Tennessee and National Home Missions, we are thankful for the many years of financial, material, and spiritual support. Southern Gospel musician Squire Parsons led a concert of praise on Saturday night after a wonderful homecoming meal.
Sunday morning, both former pastors along with many from their families, led our morning services.
Founding Pastor Gerald Fender preached our opening message sharing from Acts about the works of the Holy Spirit while illustrating the works that the Spirit of God did during the founding of this church. Former Pastor Oakes shared during the 11 o’clock service about the woman who anointed the feet of Christ reminding us that “she did what she could.”
Hardin Valley Church is forever grateful to the people of God who supported and labored so that a Free Will Baptist church could be established in what is now the fastest growing district in the state of Tennessee. Please continue to pray that God will build His church in West Knoxville.
