Special Guests this year
Bob Thomas, Jr.
Bob Thomas who currently resides in Oklahoma was born in Twin Falls, Idaho in 1954 to Bob and Rosa Lee Thomas. He grew up in Idaho, Colorado, and California developing a love for the great outdoors. His passion for singing and preaching as a teenager lead him to travel with southern gospel singing groups all across the United States.
He met his wife Rhonda Jo (Jernigan) while a student at California Christian College in Fresno. After graduating from CCC, he later earned a Master’s Degree from the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. Bob and Rhonda have two wonderful sons and two wonderful daughters in law.
Bob’s ministry focus majors on “right relationships.” His mixture of singing, preaching, and humor is sure to be enjoyed by those attending the 2014 Tennessee Spring Retreat. He is a full-time evangelist and travels the country conducting revivals, marriage conferences, retreats, youth camps, and seminars.
Joe Jones
Joe Jones, a native of Samantha, Alabama spent had a very meaningful career as a speech and drama professor at Free Will Baptist Bible College (now Welch College). After moving back to Alabama sixteen years ago, he became pastor of the church he and his wife Beverly attended as children. He says it is a wonderful experience and he still has opportunities to minister with drama that never seems to grow old. Joe and Beverly have two great sons and are looking forward to the arrival of their sixth grandchild in April.
Past attendees have begged for Joe to come back to Pigeon Forge and share more of his outstanding drama. Some of his stories are very serious and will hold an audience spellbound while God uses them to move people spiritually and emotionally. Others will have the audience spell bound with sidesplitting laughter.
